Hot Diggity Dogs restaurant may be the best kept bargain secret in Thomasville, Georgia. Situated in a separate building next to a Shell gas station one might think that the restaurant is part of the gas station, but it is not. The restaurant is also deceptively large on the inside. This is a counter service restaurant, staff are personable, and service is swift. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak combo with a fountain drink of your choice and for an additional $1.75 upgraded from chips to french fries. The usual sub roll is traded out for a hot dog bun. But toasted and overfilled with large steak pieces, cheese, sautéed onions and peppers, it is a wonderful meal! My dining companion ordered the corn dog minis with chips and drink. Again subbed out onion rings for an extra $2.25. 10 very cute mini hotdogs arrived in a perfectly crispy corn dog crust with onion rings that did not separate from the batter as soon as you bit into them. Hot and delicious for $11.25. We realized we should have ordered a hotdog given the title of the restaurant. So we packed up half of each meal to take with us and ordered a hotdog for $3. Add chili for an extra $0.25. Such a deal! Great hot dog and the chili tastes so similar to coney sauce or Skyline chili. The restaurant was bustling at 1:30 pm on a Saturday, but service was swift! At the counter was a large display of lottery scratch off tickets for purchase. You wouldn't think this is part of a restaurant, but it seems to work for them! I'm so glad to have discovered this gem and we will return!
